It’ a short stroll to the beach where you can build log tepees with drift wood, or walk on black sand down to the rivermouth, swim or fish. The Marine Park 300m down the beach offers lots to do for children.
Our Apartment is situated at the back of our home and just steps from a newly developed Marine Park with playground, skate park, beach and river access for fishing and swimming. A scenic riverside walkway is just 100 meters away. The New Plymouth Coastal Cycle and Walkway is now being joined to Marine Park with development continuing 2025-2026. Our employees loved going back to Tesa & Guy’s house at the end of their day. They were sorry that the job finished early and they had to return to Auckland ! The hosts were very pleasant and had good communication. They had the Beach House ready early for our guys to shift in which was very welcoming.

We have just completed a 15 day stay, 9 of us with some of us from Perth and locally in Bell Block. Tesa and Guy were amazing to deal with. Great communication when we were in Perth and even more so when we arrived in NZ. The home was better than the photos, and there was so much space we didn’t feel like we were in each others space. The close proximity to the beach was special, watching the weather roll in and out, seeing Maunga Taranaki from the upstairs rooms. The beach was a great safe playground for my grandsons and the grass area good for rugby games and cricket.
All the amenities in the house were enough for us to cook our own meals.

This was the perfect spot for our three night stay. The unit had lots of space, a large bedroom as well as a great sized kitchen, with lots of amenities. Very well presented and clean. Quite location close to the beach and Waitara town. We would definitely want to stay again. Great place from which to visit a number of open gardens during the Taranaki garden festival.
We thoroughly enjoyed our family long weekend away at Tesa & Guy’s home. Peaceful location with stunning views of the ocean and really easy access down to the beach. The home was very well equipped and clean. We particularly enjoyed using the BBQ, the deck where we had our meals and lounged about, and the outdoor swing and outdoor bath. We think Tesa & Guy’s home was excellent value for money. They were also very prompt and detailed in their communications with us. We unreservedly recommend Tesa & Guy’s home – give it a go, you won’t be disappointed!
